Take a look through the questions we are most frequently asked by our customers. If you can’t see yours, don’t hesitate to get in touch for the answer! You can call 020 8776 1693 or email info@mccollochroofing.com.
How long will it take to receive our quotation?
After inspecting your roof and assessing your requirements, we aim to provide a quotation within 72 hours. This timeframe could be extended for more complex job specifications, but we will keep you informed if this is the case. Our quotes, which are valid for three months, will include a full specification of the works required.
Why should I replace my roof?
Roofs of good quality can last 80-100 years. However, over this time, natural effects can cause wear and tear and occasionally these can require a repair to prevent the roof being susceptible to leaks. As time goes on and the roof ages, repair work could be required more frequently. At this point, a roof replacement will not only decrease the need for roof repairs but will also increase the value of your property.
What are your health and safety protocols?
When on site, our team take extreme care to remain safe. This includes wearing high visibility clothing, protective eyewear, steel toe cap boots and hard hats. They will also carry a first aid kit and accident book with them to every job.
Could the weather prevent roofing works from being carried out?
During the leadup to your roofing works, we will keep an eye on the predicted weather forecast. For the safety of our team and your home, we will postpone any works due on dates with severe wet or windy weather conditions. We will communicate with you to provide as much notice as possible and will work with you to find a new date.
Do you have insurance?
We have £2,000,000 public and products liability insurance which covers us in the unlikely event of accidental damage whist we are at your Bromley property.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We offer a ten-year guarantee on all full roof renewals, as well as flat roofing, fascia and gutter renewals.
Do you provide references?
Yes, and you can visit past jobs to view our workmanship too.
Do you require a deposit?
We request a deposit for larger jobs, such as full pitched roof installations. This will allow us to secure dates into our diaries.
How long does a full roof renewal take?
A full roof renewal can take between 5-10 days, depending on the size of the property and specifications of the job.
Can I choose the tile and colour I like?
We can provide tile samples prior to your works, allowing you to choose your favourite. We will only ever provide a selection of tiles that are suitable for your budget and property and can advise you on the best choice.
When are your invoices payable?
We respectfully ask that invoices are paid within two days of receipt via bank transfer. For larger projects, such as a full roof renewal, we ask for a third of the total quotation once the scaffolding has been erected. The remaining balance is then paid in instalments.
